Philippa is an Assistant Ecologist, with experience conducting Phase 1 habitat surveys for Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and conducting protected species surveys for bats, reptiles, badgers, great crested newts and water voles, always subsequently producing high-quality corresponding reports. She has also used her excellent data analysis skills whilst working on numerous projects that require the production of Biodiversity Net Gain and Urban Greening Factor calculations and reports, both before and during her time at Eight Associates. Similarly, she has experience conducting BREEAM 2014 and 2018 calculations as well as bat call data analysis and compiling these and all other relevant ecological information into clear, informative reports.
Philippa holds a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and a MSc in Conservation from University College London (UCL), the latter being where she developed her excellent GIS skills during her dissertation on the current status of the European eel in the Thames River Basin. Currently, she volunteers on a variety of projects including juvenile European eel and riverfly monitoring, coastal biodiversity surveys, microplastic sampling on the River Thames and data analysis of litter clean-up events on the River Medway.
