Eight Associates has experienced and accredited BREEAM Assessors and qualified BREEAM Accredited Professionals who can undertake full BREEAM assessments for the following types of buildings:

Eight’s knowledgeable assessors use the BREEAM methodology to assess the environment performance of all types of buildings, both new and existing, at planning, design and construction stages. We help to inform designers, clients and design teams, in order to promote sustainable designs and specifications through practical measures. We aim to make the BREEAM certification process as ‘stress-free’ as possible.
Our BREEAM Advisory Professional (AP) role is independent to the role of the BREEAM Assessor, providing a more detailed level of experience and knowledge with expert advice and risk appraisal of the sustainability and BREEAM performance of each development, without conflict of interest within our role as Assessors. In addition, our BREEAM AP’s carry out workshops to facilitate the achievement of some early stage credits, providing additional support to ensure opportunities aren’t missed at early stages, whilst identifying the best cost-benefit sustainability strategy for the development and client.
Our assessors use the BREEAM Communities methodology to measure and certify the social, environmental and economic performance of medium to large-scale development plans by integrating sustainable design into masterplanning and regeneration developments.
Our Code Assessors work with the design team to guide new residential developments towards designs, features and building practices that reduce environmental impacts and enhance the health and wellbeing of occupants through the use of the Code for Sustainable Homes methodology.
Eight Associates provides an experienced LEED accredited professional service catering for all building types and LEED rating systems, to allow clients to understand and navigate the LEED certification process. Eight Associates prides itself on providing a detailed, yet practical, certification service to ensure that the development has a robust, feasible LEED strategy from the outset which can be implemented effectively throughout the duration of the project. Eight Associates also has the required specialist consultants in-house to provide specific credit advice and cater for the additional reports required for LEED evidence. Eight Associates’ intention is to always push the boundaries and inspire clients to strive for the highest LEED rating possible within the constraints of the project.
BREEAM International assessments are carried out by Eight Associates on any building located outside the UK. Our experienced assessors will help design teams understand and implement the BREEAM International criteria, which is specifically tailored to the building type for each individual project, and will aim to mitigate the life cycle impacts of buildings on the environment in a robust and cost effective manner.
As highly experienced CSH assessors and BREEAM assessors, Eight Associates have both the resources and expertise to undertake Home Quality Mark assessments. The Home Quality Mark is a national sustainability standard for new homes, which uses a 5-star rating, as well as further indicators focusing on “My Cost” (concerning both construction and running costs), “My Wellbeing” (including building design quality, occupant health and wellbeing, air quality and summer overheating) and “My Footprint” (including energy consumption, flooding and climate change impacts”.
Eight Associates’ accredited WELL AP team can provide advice for your WELL Building Standard project, consulting within the design and construction team in any capacity. Eight Associates aims to provide a smooth certification service offering practical advice to teams to ensure effective implementation. Eight Associates also has the required specialist consultants in-house to provide specific feature advice and cater for the additional reports required for WELL evidence.
