Ecology, Protected Species and the Planning Process: How to Minimise Delays and Maximise Biodiversity

Please join us at our free breakfast seminar at the Eight Associates London office. Delegates can arrive from 8:30am for a breakfast pastry, and the seminar will begin approx 8:45am with a finish time of 9:45am.
Rachel Crookes and Stacey Cougill of Eight Associates will provide an overview of the importance of urban biodiversity, highlighting protected species and their associated habitats that may occur on your sites, along with survey timelines needed for successful planning submission. The seminar will detail methods to reduce the impact on existing features, provide ways to mitigate impact from development proposals for a range of sites and include advice on integrating ecological enhancements into projects resulting in a gain for wildlife. Using case studies, we will also look at biodiversity net gain, and the new Urban Greening Factor methodology proposed in the Draft London Plan.
When: Thursday 25th April 2019, delegates can arrive from 8:30am for a breakfast pastry, and the seminar will begin approx 8:45am with a finish time of 9:45am.
